Usually, yes. Find a model on MakerWorld, Printables, Thingiverse, Cults3D, MyMiniFactory — or anywhere else — and share the link in your request. I'll let you know if it's printable and what it would cost.

If a model requires a paid purchase I don't already own, that cost passes through to you at what I paid for it. I'll always confirm with you before buying anything.

Yes — names, dates, short phrases, that kind of thing. Many models support it directly, and simple personalization is often easy for me to add. Mention exactly what you want in your request.

Sometimes — it depends on the model. Multi-color works best on flat things like coasters or models designed with a clean color separation. It gets inefficient quickly on complex parts with lots of color changes. Mention what you have in mind and I'll tell you honestly if it's a good fit.

Absolutely. Pick "Print something for me" on the visit form and describe the part — I'll reply to your email so you can attach the file.

I get an email right away. I'll reply to confirm details, talk through color or material questions, and give you a price and timeline. For most items, expect delivery or pickup within 2–5 days of confirming. Need it by a specific date? Say so — I'll tell you honestly if I can make it work.

Nope. Money is money. Small pickups just get steered toward my usual windows so we're not scheduling a summit over a $5 fidget.

PLA is the default for decorative and indoor items — the most colors and the sharpest detail, but it doesn't love hot cars or full sun. PETG is tougher and heat-resistant, good for daily handling. ASA is the outdoor and automotive workhorse — UV-stable and impact-tough, with carbon-fiber blends available when a part needs serious stiffness. TPU is flexible and rubbery — gaskets, bumpers, grips, anything that should bend instead of breaking. Not sure? Describe what the part needs to survive and I'll recommend one.

A lot more than the rack shows. The rack lists what's for sale, but I keep more spools on hand for printing that aren't for individual sale. If you don't see the color you want, mention it in your request — I may already have it. If not, I can often order it in (special orders are prepaid).

Silk has a glossy, metallic-looking sheen. Matte is flat and modern and hides layer lines well. Galaxy is a dark base with sparkle flecks, like a night sky. Glow charges in light and glows in the dark. Not every finish is in stock at all times — the rack page shows exactly what's on hand right now, with a finish guide.

Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, or Zelle — electronic keeps it easy for both of us. Cash works too; I don't keep much on hand so I can't always promise exact change. Nothing's owed until your order is confirmed, and shipped orders are paid before they ship.

Free and by appointment in the Mankato/Saint Peter area. Tuesday and Thursday evenings are easiest, some Saturday mornings too — everything wraps by 7 PM. Suggest a time on the visit form and I'll confirm. Please don't drop by unannounced.

About a week. After that it goes back up for grabs — fair's fair. Prepaid items are held until your pickup, no sweat.

Reserving 4+ spools of filament, anything special-ordered just for you, and holds longer than a week. Everything else you can pay at pickup.

Sometimes, yeah. I'm open to the occasional trade — prints or filament for goods or services I happen to need at the time. What I'm after changes week to week, so if you've got something to offer, just ask and we'll see if it's a fair swap.

Printed items ship anywhere — usually USPS — at standard carrier rates. Small items typically run $4–6; larger ones can be more. You'll get the shipping cost in your quote before you commit. For small inexpensive items, postage can cost more than the item itself — local pickup is usually the better deal.

A 1 kg spool costs more to mail than it's worth for both of us — you'd genuinely do better ordering online. Locally, though, my prices beat the big stores, which is the whole point of the rack.
